2026 Homebush Vibes

Our little locals will be spoilt for choice with the following activities on offer on Saturday 16 May from 1pm until 6pm:

- face painting

- craft activity (in Council branded marquee)

- Cookie decorating class

- plant and book stall at Homebush Public School marquee

Council will be giving away free $10 food vouchers* redeemable in select businesses in Homebush.

Come visit the Strathfield Council tent to get your free food vouchers on the day!

*Limited to 1 voucher per person. Only redeemable in participating businesses only (during the the below hours on Saturday 16 May 2026).

Vouchers can be redeemed at the following businesses:

• Bar Cortona (1pm – 4pm)
• Bar Cortona Bakery (1pm – 2pm)
• Biryani Corner Homebush (11am - 6pm)
• Cornerstore Bread & Brew (1pm - 4pm)
• Deli Fresh Café (1pm – 6pm)

• The Grocery Spot (1pm - 6pm)
• The Homebush Newsagency (1pm - 4pm)
• Urbano Coffee (1pm - 4pm)

Parking will be limited, so leave the car at home and take one of these routes!

Cycling

It’s just a short detour off the Cooks River Bay to Bay track.

Train and Bus

The event is conveniently located right next to Homebush Train Station! Visit the Transport NSW web page to plan your trip.

Road closures are required to create a safe and bustling event space to activate Homebush Village. This will take place along part of Rochester Street, Homebush (from The Crescent to Burlington Street) from 5am - 10pm Saturday 16 May 2026. Residents will be able to access their homes at these times.

Detours will be in place via Burlington Road, Meredith Street, Homebush Road, and The Crescent whilst the road closure is in place.

Rochester Street is accessible from many directions, including along the roads – The Crescent, Burlington Road and Rochester Street. Access by foot is also available through Homebush train station from Loftus Crescent.

Pathways

Rochester Street is fully cemented and paved, with kerb lips and raised pedestrian crossings. It is suitable for prams, wheelchairs and other devices to assist with movement.

Accessible Parking

Disabled parking spaces are available along Burlington Road, near the roundabout with Rochester Street.

Accessible Bathrooms

Accessible bathrooms are located in many of the cafes. For the event, portable accessible bathrooms will be available on site.

Changing Facilities

Changing facilities are located in many of the cafes. For the event, portable changing facilities will be available on site.

Food and Drinks

There are several stores located on Rochester Street where food and drinks can be purchased.

Council staff are on hand during events to assist visitors.
