Strathfield Community Garden

Strathfield Council’s community garden is located at Laker Reserve, Elva Street, Strathfield.

Community gardens provide an opportunity for community members - especially those without access to their own gardening space - to grow vegetables, fruit, and herbs. They are also welcoming spaces to meet others, share knowledge, and learn new skills.

Getting involved in a community garden is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, grow fresh and healthy food at minimal cost, and connect with your local community.

The Strathfield Community Garden is now open and is continually welcoming new members. All are welcome to join.

Commencing: Thursday, 5 February 2026
Opening hours: Every Thursday, 3:00pm – 5:30pm
Monthly Member Activities: Once a month on a Saturday, registered members are invited to attend members-only Community Garden BBQs and gardening education sessions delivered in partnership with Council.
