Fitzgerald Crescent Green Space

Through an agreement with Sydney Water, Strathfield Council has secured new green space for the enjoyment of local residents in Strathfield. The green space is parallel to Liverpool Road in an area between Fitzgerald Crescent and Cooks River, totaling 2,459 square meters of open space.

Hudson District Park

The upgrade of Hudson Park Golf Course to Hudson District Park, has seen the transformation of under-utilised green space, into a thriving and beautiful parkland for all locals.

Ismay Reserve, Homebush

Land formally acquired by WestConnex has been handed back to Strathfield Council, and will form part of Ismay Reserve at Homebush.

Parking Meter Upgrade

The parking meters at Bressington and Mason Parks are being upgraded.

Strathfield Town Hall Roof Works

Strathfield Council’s Operations Team is currently in the planning stage for replacing the roof of the Town Hall on Homebush Road, Strathfield.

Powells Creek Bridges

New pedestrian and cycleway bridge crossings will be installed at Lorraine Street, Hamilton Street and George Street to join parts of the Bay to Bay path, improving connectivity with Bressington and Mason Parks, as well as Ismay Reserve.

Site investigation for wastewater infrastructure in Strathfield

Starting work from Monday 11 November 2024, Sydney Water plans to reline a section of the wastewater main which runs along Powells Creek, Strathfield.
