When are your bins collected?

Emptied weekly

Emptied on alternate fortnights to the garden organics bin on the same day as your general waste bin.

Place your bins out the night before and bring them in by the end of your collection day.

Report a Missed Service

Damaged, Lost or Stolen Bins

Bins with a Damaged Lid or Wheels

If a bins lid or wheels are broken, they can be repaired by our team free of charge.

Bins with a Damaged Body

Bins that are damaged by Council during collection, can be replaced free of charge.  

Bins that need to be replaced due to damage caused by overfilling, misuse or general wear and tear, can be replaced at a cost. All costs are listed in Council's Fees and Charges.

Lost or Stolen Bins

Lost or stolen bins can be replaced by contacting Council. A fee may be incurred.

Payment

Payments for new bins can be made via:

  • Credit card: over the phone or in person at our Customer Service Centre
  • Cheque: made payable to Strathfield Council and crossed NOT NEGOTIABLE
