The purpose Multicultural Advisory Committee is to provide guidance to Council on diversity issues impacting Strathfield Area. The committee has no decision-making authority and therefore cannot commit Council resources, direct employees of Council or deal with operational matters.
The Committee is looking for up to five (5) additional members of the community to bring the total community members to twelve (12).
Prospective members should be of stakeholder groups or representatives of peak agencies who are willing to engage in stakeholder networking and provide advice to Council on recommendations around issues affecting multicultural communities in the Strathfield LGA and promote the benefits of cultural diversity, social cohesion and inclusion, as well provide advice to Council in relation to multicultural events as required.
Open for submissions until 8 August 2025.
