Council wishes to inform the community that the Strathfield Connector bus service will cease operations as of Thursday, 24 April 2025.

Following a comprehensive review of the service, Council has determined that the Strathfield Connector bus service is not a core service and is not financially viable. The decision was made after careful consideration of budget priorities and the best allocation of resources to meet the needs of the Strathfield community.

Strathfield Council remains committed to working with the NSW Government to ensure equitable access to public transport for all residents. While this decision may impact some community members, Council will continue to advocate for improved services and explore sustainable transport options.

Council has reached out to Jason Yat-sen Li Member for Strathfield, Stephanie Di Pasqua State Member for Drummoyne and Sally Sitou Member for Reid outlining the transport issues faced by local residents. It is hoped that that with their support, improvements to public transport services within the Strathfield local government area can be achieved, particularly in the area of Homebush West.
