Grants Programs

Strathfield Council is committed to supporting and empowering our local community to deliver programs and activities that meet the needs of residents. Council’s Community Strategic Plan, Strathfield 2035, strives for community well-being, connectivity, the development of liveable neighbourhoods, prosperity and opportunity.

Council’s Community Grants program provides annual funding for organisations or groups to develop community or cultural programs that support the community of Strathfield in accordance with the Community Strategic Plan – Strathfield 2035.

The award of a grant will be based solely on the information and supporting documents provided in your application.

Small Grants

The Small Grants Fund provides access to small financial assistance grants for local residents or community organisations for projects or activities of community benefit, and where an alternative grant program is not available. Council’s Small Grants Guidelines sets out the application and approval processes for the grants program, timelines, and eligibility.

When to apply

Small Grant Applications are open year-round.

Your application will be assessed after one of these closing dates:

31 July 2026
31 October 2026
31 January 2027
30 April 2027

How long the process takes

It may take up to 3 months after the closing date to:

assess your application, and
process payment if approved

When your project can start

Your project must start at least 3 months after the closing date. This is to make sure funding is approved and distributed before your project begins.
