EOI - Events Committee

Council is seeking expressions of interest from community members to join Council’s Events Committee, a non-public advisory body to Strathfield Council.

The purpose of the Committee is to provide a forum for Council to engage with and obtain feedback from Councillors and community representatives in planning the delivery of Council’s Major Events program as outlined in the Operational Plan. The Committee will be able to provide input and advice regarding specific details of to be considered in the delivery of Council’s Major Events program. 

Membership of the Events Committee will consist of:

  • up to five (5) community members or representatives from the local community. Ideally, the community members will be from across the geographical area of Council.
  • All seven (7) Councillors.
  • Up to two (2) staff one (1) being in the role of Director as determined by the General Manager.

All community representative nominations for appointment to the Committee are to be formally submitted in writing to Council, through an online Expressions of Interest Process (EOI).

Nominees must complete an Expression of Interest and formally declare in writing to Council any potential conflicts of interest (including but not limited to being a member of other committees, other community affiliations, and direct and indirect business interests) directly relating to the purpose of the Committee.

All nominations must be received by 5pm, Sunday 26 April 2026, and submitted to council@strathfield.nsw.gov.au
