Airey Park contains a range of activities and is known as the ‘Family Park’. History

In 1985, Centenary Playground was opened to celebrate Council’s 100thanniversary of incorporation. The park is designed to provide open space for passive recreation and a children’s playground. The land was purchased from the Strathfield-Homebush Parish of the Uniting Church (later known as the West Sydney Chinese Church) and was a former tennis court.(Reference: Jones, C,Parks, Reserves & Memorials of Strathfield,2004).
