Notice of Motion – Submitted at the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 13 August 2024
At the ordinary Council meeting of Strathfield Municipal Council held on 13 August 2024, Council resolved on a notice of motion to inform all residents within the Local Government Area (LGA) as soon as possible, setting out in summary the following items:
- Council’s unfunded infrastructure backlog
- Councils persistent historical and current operating deficits
- Cuts to Council expenditure to improve Council’s financial position
- The new rating model and its impacts on bills so far
- The reduction in garbage levies
- New infrastructure and works funded by Council because of the special rate variation
- Council’s auditor’s comments on the improvement of Council’s financial position.
