Youth Achievement Awards – Nominations Open

Strathfield Council in conjunction with Strathfield Rotary are calling upon residents to nominate the outstanding achievements of young people in your community.

Nominations can be made across five categories including:

  • Arts and Culture Award
  • Environment/ Community Service Award
  • Science and Technology Award
  • Sports Award (individual and team)
  • President’s Award

The awards are open to young people aged between 12 and 25 who live, attend school, work or train in the Strathfield local government area.

The Youth Achievement Awards are open for youth who deserve recognition for their contributions to society in a number of fields.

“It is vital for us to commend our young residents when they achieve positive results. It is important to remember that all achievements are worth celebrating. These awards provide us with an opportunity to encourage the youth, our future leaders, to strive for greatness throughout their lives”, Mayor of Strathfield, Councillor Ok said.

Teachers, parents, coaches and student leaders are encouraged to nominate young people who meet the awards criteria. Nominations are now open and must be received by Thursday 31 March.
