Strathfield Community Garden

Strathfield Council’s community garden is located at Laker Reserve, Elva Street, Strathfield.
Community gardens provide an opportunity for community members - especially those without access to their own gardening space - to grow vegetables, fruit, and herbs. They are also welcoming spaces to meet others, share knowledge, and learn new skills.
Getting involved in a community garden is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, grow fresh and healthy food at minimal cost, and connect with your local community.
The Strathfield Community Garden is now open and is continually welcoming new members. All are welcome to join.
Commencing: Thursday, 5 February 2026
Opening hours: Every Thursday, 3:00pm – 5:30pm
Monthly Member Activities: On the last Saturday of the month, Members are invited to enjoy exclusive members-only educational events with the opportunity to learn new gardening skills in a hands-on session (BYO food options or snacks). These engaging experiences are delivered in partnership with Council and the community, offering a great way to connect, learn, and grow together.
