Strathfield gains a new community centre

For immediate release
12 November 2019

To meet the meeting needs of the Community, the former High Street Branch Library has been transformed into a public space, available for community groups to run programs and activities from.

All library services previously operating out of High Street have moved to Strathfield Library, located at 65-67 Rochester Street, Homebush, except for a book locker which has been installed at High Street. The book locker enables residents to request, collect and return books 24/7.

The Strathfield Connector bus route runs from High Street to Strathfield Library for residents wishing to visit.

This change is part of a wider project to review how library services are delivered in Strathfield. The project also includes an upgrade of Strathfield Library, due to be delivered in March 2020, which will enhance the library experience for all visitors.
