Request for Tender No: 07/2020 – Disposal and Processing of Recyclables

Description: Strathfield Council invites tenders for contractors to provide services for the disposal and processing of recyclables in the LGA for a period of five (5) years and two (2) year extension.

The Contractor shall recover reusable items where feasible, and reprocess or treat the remainder to recover materials which can be recycled into the productive economy or used for energy recovery.

Council is seeking tender responses from organisations that have appropriate certifications, qualifications, capacity, high standard of capability and can deliver the best value for money outcome to Council and its community.

This tender is only for the drop-off / tipping and processing related services. Council already manages the collection component in relation to its Domestic Recycling Waste Collection Service which is not part of this tender.

Obtaining Documentation: Tender documents will be available from 2 December 2020 and can be accessed via Council’s electronic tendering system, Tenderlink, at www.tenderlink.com/strathfield

Lodgement: Tenders may be lodged electronically via www.tenderlink.com/strathfield

(preferred method); by post to PO Box 120, Strathfield, NSW, 2135; or by hand into Council’s tender box located in Council’s Customer Service Centre, 65 Homebush Road Strathfield.

Note: Tenders submitted by post or by hand will also require submission of a full set of electronic documents (PDF) on CD, DVD or USB.

Deadline: Tenders will be accepted up until 2.00pm on 12 January 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Canvassing of any Council members or officers will disqualify tenderers from the tender process.
