About the policy

The purpose of the Draft Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy is to enable the reasonable and appropriate reimbursement of expenses and provision of facilities to Councillors to help them undertake their civic duties. The policy has been prepared in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 and complies with the Office of Local Government’s Guidelines for the payment of expenses and provision of facilities to Mayors and Councillors in NSW.

You are invited to provide feedback on the Draft Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy. The exhibition period will conclude on Sunday 6 August 2023.

What happens next?

The feedback received will be incorporated into the final policy which will be considered by Council for adoption. If there are no submissions Council will consider the policy adopted.
