Proposed Traffic Restriction – Intersection of Shortland Avenue and Fraser Street, Strathfield

Council will be introducing a ‘No Right Turn’ restriction from Shortland Avenue into Fraser Street on school days during the hours of 8AM-9:30AM and 2:30PM-4PM. The proposal is to assist in the pick-up and drop-off operations of St Patrick’s College and supports the existing traffic operations during school hours along Fraser Street and Edgar Avenue.

To implement the above changes, dual ‘No Right Turn   8AM-9:30AM   2:30PM-4PM   SCHOOL DAYS’ signs will be installed on Shortland Avenue west of Fraser Street.

Vehicles will still be able to enter Fraser Street either by turning left from Shortland Avenue or continuing straight from the north section of Fraser Street. Furthermore, vehicles are able to enter Edgar Street from Marion Street by any existing legal manoeuvre.

Should you have any questions on or objections to the above proposal, please contact Council’s Traffic and Transport Engineer, Jack Griffiths, at (02) 9748 9999 or council@strathfield.nsw.gov.au between the hours of 8:30AM and 4:00PM Monday to Friday.
