Council will be introducing a one-way restriction on Mintaro Avenue at the intersection with Noble Avenue that acts in the capacity of a typical ‘stay to the left’ scenario on a two-way road. This proposal results in:

• Mintaro Avenue being one-way eastbound on the north side of the nature island,
• Mintaro Avenue being one-way westbound on the south side of the nature island, and
• Noble Avenue remaining two-way.

To implement the above changes, the following changes will be implemented:

• Separator line marking on Mintaro Avenue and supporting signage to delineate the eastbound and westbound travel lanes with directional arrows to indicate the direction of travel in each lane.
• ‘No Stopping’ kerb line marking around the nature island.
• ‘Give Way’ signs and line marking on Mintaro Avenue (south) at the intersection with Noble Avenue and on Noble Avenue at the intersection with Mintaro Avenue (north) – the latter is to have centre line marking to delineate the travel lanes on Noble Avenue.
• ‘No Entry’ signs on Mintaro Avenue (south) facing Noble Avenue to support the one-way operations.
• ‘No Stopping’ signs on the southwest corner of the intersection of Mintaro Avenue (north) and Noble Avenue and the southeast corner of the intersection of Mintaro Avenue (south) and Noble Avenue to support statutory restrictions at intersections.

The changes will not affect access to and from any residential driveway. Only one on-street parking space will be removed on the west side of Noble Avenue where the ‘No Stopping’ sign is, but there is sufficient supply of on-street parking in the vicinity of the area such that no adverse effects to on-street parking is anticipated.
