May 21 – Strathfield Council announces Youth Achievement Award winners

21 May 2014

Strathfield Council along with Strathfield Rotary will recognise the achievements of young people in the area at the 2014 Youth Achievement Awards night on Wednesday 21 May at Strathfield Golf Club.

The Youth Achievement Awards will see young people who live or attend school in the Strathfield local government area, recognised for their achievements and contributions to the community.

The winners of the awards, which include six individuals and one team, are a great example of the talent and dedication of the youth in the Strathfield area. They will be recognised at Strathfield Golf Club on Wednesday 21 May by Strathfield Rotary President Suzanne Freund and Mayor of Strathfield, Cr Daniel Bott.

“Young people are a key part of the Strathfield community both today and when planning for the future. It is important to celebrate the hard work and dedication being shown by these young people who represent the values of the Strathfield community,” said Cr Bott.

“Strathfield Council, along with Strathfield Rotary, are very proud to be able to recognise the winners of these awards. Their parents, schools and the entire community should be proud of their achievements.”

Nominations were open to young people aged 12-25 years who live, study, work or train in Strathfield.
