Strathfield’s Movies in the Park for this Saturday 23 March will screen The Avengers after a people’s choice poll nominated it over the scheduled Real Steel.

Rated M, the 2012 American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson.

The Avengers was originally due to be screened at the February 23 event but was cancelled due to wet weather. A poll conducted on the Movies in the Park Facebook page saw fans of the event vote for The Avengers over Real Steel.

The free screening will commence at nightfall, approximately 7.30pm in Strathfield Park, located on Homebush Road, Strathfield and include free popcorn donated by Event Cinemas Burwood and giveaways from Anytime Fitness North Strathfield.
