Harmony Day 24 March 2018

Strathfield Celebrates Harmony Day!

For immediate release
16 March 2018

Cultures combine in this celebration of the many communities who come from across the globe to call Strathfield home on Saturday 24 March from 10am – 3pm!

Everyone belongs at Airey Park (just a short walk away from Flemington Train Station) as we set up by the playground to celebrate Harmony Day. There will be a barbecue, gozleme, paella, and skewers with flavours from different regions of the world and delicious desserts to feast on.

The stage will feature colourful and cultural performances from China, Korea, Nepal and India, as well as an entertaining African drumming performance with participants called on stage to join in on the fun! A special children’s live performance shows kids the fun that can be had when we all play together and learn about each other’s cultures.

Learn how to throw a boomerang, immerse yourself in the dream time, get crafty with an origami workshop or have your hands transformed by a henna tattoo artist. There will also be a jumping castle, face painters and a native animal display for everyone to enjoy.

When: Saturday 24 March, 10am – 3pm
Where: Airey Park – The Crescent, Homebush
