Celebrate Father’s Day at the Strathfield Spring Festival

To celebrate the arrival of Spring, Strathfield Council is hosting the ultimate family fun day out with the Strathfield Spring Festival. Held each year on Father’s Day, the event is the perfect way to enjoy a day out with the family.

The festival is set for a bumper year in 2015, boasting an entertainment line-up that features some of today’s biggest names in Australian music, an action packed Sports Quarter and a specialty Kidz World.

Mayor of Strathfield, Cr Gulian Vaccari said this year’s festival is not to be missed.

“The Strathfield Spring Festival is a great family day out on Father’s Day. With an impressive list of performers on the main stage, plenty of action in the sports quarter and a section especially for the kids, the festival will keep the whole family entertained,” Cr Vaccari said.

“Strathfield Council is pleased to host an event that brings together the local community and visitors to the Strathfield area. I am looking forward to seeing many families at the festival enjoying the music, sport activities, rides and stalls. There is no better way to celebrate Father’s Day.”

The Festival main stage program will feature a live performance from Samantha Jade, plus performances by former The X-Factor Australia stars Trent Bell and Jayden Sierra, teaming up with his cousin Jack. The line-up will be completed by local guitar star, Jeremy Yong, and festival favourites LA Talent School and Nikki Webster Dance.

Kids will enjoy a live show and meet and greet with ABC Kids owl pals Hoot and Hootabelle.

The adrenaline will be pumping in the Sports Quarter with live motocross shows, and, for those who want to be involved in the action, cricket, football, tennis, baseball and NRL clinics.

For more edge of your seat entertainment, don’t miss the Dauntless Movement Crew, demonstrating their high energy acrobatics on the main stage and the martial arts stage.

A new addition to the event in 2015, head to the emergency services zone to meet members of the NSW Police, Fire and Rescue, Royal Australian Navy and State Emergency Service, and enjoy their interactive displays.

All tastes will be catered for with a variety of food stalls providing the best selection of European, Asian and traditional festival food. The festival also features carnival rides and merchandise stalls.

With something for everyone, make it a family day this Father’s Day at the Strathfield Spring Festival.
