Employment Expo & Workshop 2025

The Employment Expo and Workshop, Bridge to Opportunities, is a two-day event that provides the community with an opportunity to speak with industry experts and job employment professionals.

Businesses, employers, industry representatives and potential hirers will be present to answer questions and speak with potential employees.

Where: Strathfield Town Hall, 65 Homebush Road, Strathfield 

When: Thursday 5th & Friday 6th June 2025, 10:00am - 1:00pm

Cost: FREE, registration is necessary. 

Who is this Employment Expo and Workshop for?

• People who are seeking employment for the first time.
• People who have been unsuccessful in finding employment.
• Industry members who want to present their business to potential hires.
• Those who want to explore different employment opportunities.
• Younger attendees who want to know what employment options there are and what avenues to take.

Day 1: Employment Preparation Workshop

Thursday 5 June, 9:30am - 1:00pm

At this workshop you will receive expert advice on:

• Writing, reviewing and improving your resume and cover letter.
• Building interview skills.
• How to build a personal brand.
• How to identify suitable jobs.

Day 2: Employment Expo

Friday 6 June, 10:00am - 2:00pm

At this expo you'll meet employers, training organisations, service AUS, Service NSW, Fair Work. 

Potential employers will be present to answer questions from attendees, offer advice and give information on their specific industry. Employers with job vacancies will have on the spot interviews!

Burwood Strathfield Multicultural Network is calling for expressions of interest from employers and organisations supporting individuals to obtain employment and training outcomes to be an exhibitor at our upcoming Employment Expo on Friday, 6 June 2025, 10am-2pm in Strathfield Town Hall.

Purpose of the Expo: The Employment Expo aims to connect job seekers with employers, apprenticeship and traineeship organisations, and other relevant entities. It provides an opportunity for participants to explore various employment and training pathways, gain industry insights, and network with potential employers.
