T18-2025 – Begnell Park and Field Drainage
The purpose of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to invite submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the delivery of drainage and play surface improvement works at Begnell Park, Strathfield South. This project seeks to resolve ongoing drainage problems that lead to frequent field closures during periods of wet weather and contribute to flooding of adjacent residential properties.
Begnell Park is situated between Madeline Street, Cosgrove Road, and Blanche Street, Belfield. It adjoins Cooke Park and Coxs Creek Channel to the north-east and is bordered by residential development along Blanche and Madeline Streets. While the park has limited street frontage, vehicular and pedestrian access is available from Madeline Street. Pedestrian access is also provided via a laneway off Blanche Street. A gated entry point exists on Cosgrove Road and may be opened as required.
