Strathfield Council's Vertebrate Fauna Study of parks and reserves within the Strathfield Local Government Area is a comphrensive study and assessment of the variety of wildlife in our community. The study provides recommendations on how to enhance biodiversity.
A key finding of the study found that Mason Park Wetlands and its surrounding vegetation is the most species-rich reserve within the Strathfield area. This result was largely due to the presence of migratory shorebirds that arrive during spring and summer.
