Strathfield Drive Thru Recycling Day

For immediate release

25 March 2021

Strathfield Council is supporting residents with recycling their unused household items correctly by launching a Drive Thru Recycling Day!

This new sustainable initiative provides residents with the free opportunity to recycle eWaste, furniture, clothes and other household items at the Strathfield Council Depot located at 1 Weeroona Road, Strathfield on Saturday 10 April from 9am – 2pm.

Participants simply need to pack their car (or trailer) with up to 8 bags or boxes filled with items, head to the Depot, wait for a staff member to collect their unused goods and receive a bag of free mulch – while stocks last!

Residents without a car and who have mobility issues can register to have their items picked up from home; registrations for this service are essential and numbers are limited. Registered participants for this service should place their items on the nature strip in front of their home the night before; collections will take place on Saturday 10 April from 6am – 1pm.

For more information about this event and a full listing of accepted items, please visit Council’s website www.strathfield.nsw.gov.au.
