Strathfield Council wishes to clarify its position in relation to Homebush overdevelopment.

The article “Mayor says Homebush overburdened with growth” (Inner West Courier, 10 February 2015) did not specify that comments attributed to Cr Vaccari were of a personal nature and not the views of Council.

Council’s official position on this matter is that there has not been adequate community consultation. Council requests that the State Government restart the community consultation for the Draft Parramatta Road Urban Renewal Strategy and the associated proposed major density increases.
