Strathfield Cleans Up

For immediate release

25 February 2019

Change starts with you!

Strathfield Council is answering the call to Clean Up Australia and wants local residents to join us.

Clean Up Australia Day is the largest volunteer-led action day in Australia, aimed to keep our country beautiful and protect our native flora and fauna.

Over the past 29 years volunteers have donated more than 33 million hours collecting rubbish from our parks, bushland, beaches and waterways.

Last year, volunteers in Strathfield collected 20,000 litres of rubbish in one day.

Council is putting the call out for volunteers to join the movement again this year! You can register your own clean up or join an event near you.
