Council is gearing up for a big April with Seniors Festival and Youth Week events organised back to back!

Seniors Festival

Run away to beautiful Berry for Australia’s best pies; visit Nutcote, May Gibbes harbourside property and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Manly Corso; or wander around the beautiful Merrylands Botanic Gardens and try your hand at Qi Gong – there’s something for every Strathfield Senior at the Seniors Festival 2018!

But you will have to get in quick! The programs are filling fast with the majority of events free of charge.

Seniors Week:

Youth Week

Organisers called on Strathfield youth to help with the planning of this year’s events and the response was music and movies!

The week kicks off with a movie night featuring Spiderman – Homecoming and Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest! Dress as your favourite character for your chance to win the best outfit prize! With hot popcorn, sausage sandwiches and Choc Tops it’s the best way to chill out with your friends.

After relaxing at Movie Night it’s time to rev it up again with Battle of the Bands! All those aspiring muso’s out there need to come along and show us what you’ve got. The prize is a half day in a recording studio, complete with sound engineer. Don’t miss out and start practicing now! And of course every gig needs an audience, so get your mates together to cheer you on.
