A Strathfield resident has received honours as part of the 2015 Queen’s Birthday celebrations.

Honours are awarded to reward the work and achievements of Australians in a range of categories including the arts, sport, community, law, medicine, education and business.

Mr Barry Frederick Collins of Strathfield was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to chemical engineering, through contributions to the mining, paper, and steel industries, and to the community.

Mr Collins was recognised at a morning tea with Mayor of Strathfield, Cr Gulian Vaccari this week.
