Strathfield Council is joining hands with Share the Dignity this Christmas!
Share the Dignity is launching It’s in the Bag Christmas campaign collection from Thursday 19 November to Monday 30 November. The campaign strives to address the needs of women and girls living on the street, and in sheltered or crisis accommodation and make a difference by showing empathy, compassion and kindness to brighten their Christmas.
Council encourages all local residents to participate by donating a handbag in new or in good condition with female personal care, sanitary, hygienic items and a Christmas card that will make a woman feel special and valued.
Handbags can be dropped off at Strathfield Council’s collection points:
· Strathfield Council’s Customer Service Centre – 65 Homebush Road, Strathfield
· Strathfield Council Library and Innovation Hub located – 65-67 Rochester Street, Homebush
All donations will be supplied to St Merkorious Charity, Strathfield South and St Pauls, Burwood for distribution to members of the community who need it most.
