September 12 – Go4Fun program back by popular demand

12 September 2014

Strathfield Council is pleased to announce that the Go4Fun healthy kids program is returning to Strathfield in term 4. Council is proud to support this free, fun program to help children to become fitter, healthier and happier.

The Go4Fun program is a 10 week healthy lifestyle program aimed at children aged 7 to 13 and their parents. Go4Fun aims to improve eating habits, fitness, teamwork and overall health in children who are above a healthy weight.

The program will return on Saturday 11 October, and run each week until Saturday 13 December. The interactive sessions are led by qualified health professionals, and include games and activities to help children learn new skills and make friends in a fun environment.

Mayor of Strathfield Cr Daniel Bott said the Go4Fun program is a great opportunity for children and families to make positive changes.

“The Go4Fun program is beneficial for children and families who want to make changes to their lifestyle, diet and exercise habits. I encourage Strathfield parents to consider whether their child might be suitable for this program, it could help change their lives,” said Cr Bott.
