Strathfield’s biggest annual event, the Strathfield Spring Festival, will feature a jam packed entertainment line-up that includes a headline performance from one of Australia’s favourite female singers, Samantha Jade.

After writing and recording music in the US in the early stages of her career, Samantha Jade made her breakthrough when she won season four of The X Factor.

Her star power has continued to rise since her X-Factor victory, with four top 20 singles and a coveted acting role playing Kylie Minogue is the Channel 7 mini-series, INXS: Never Tear Us Apart. Her chart success has continued with her current single, Shake That, featuring Pitbull.

“I grew up in Perth but now live in Sydney and it is such a huge city with towns within it! Strathfield is one of the best areas – amazing food, so central to everything, great shopping, and I have to say passionate live audiences,” said Jade.

“I am so thrilled to be playing at the Spring Festival. I am going to perform all my hits and some sneak previews from my forthcoming album.”

Hosted by Strathfield Council, the 2015 Spring Festival will celebrate Father’s Day with something for the whole family. A Sports Quarter will feature motocross shows and martial arts demonstrations, plus enjoy zorb balls, bungee and sports clinics. A dedicated Kidz World will have the children entertained for hours with performers and activities.

The festival also features carnival rides, merchandise stalls, community displays, showbags, food and giveaways.
