Mobilemuster is the official recycling program of the mobile phone industry. Strathfield Council is proud to support this initiative of diverting the disposal of old mobile phones from landfill. Since the inception of this program in 1998 nearly 5 million handsets and batteries have been collected and recycled. This is equal to 711 tonnes of waste diverted from landfill.

There are more than 3,500 collection points through out Australia including -

MobileMuster accepts all brands of mobile phones, plus their batteries, chargers and accessories. Everything collected is recycled to the highest environmental standard for resource recovery with nothing being resold. Deleting or removing any data from your SIM card or mobile phone is encouraged, although any data left on the device is destroyed in the recycling process.
