The NSW Government is delivering Sydney Metro West – a new underground metro railway which will double rail capacity between Parramatta and the Sydney CBD.

Soil testing will be carried out as part of ongoing planning and design for Sydney Metro West. This investigation is used to understand how much the soil resists the flow of electricity and to inform design for new infrastructure. These investivations will be undertaken by GHD on behalf of Sydney Metro.

Testing locations:

• Mason Park – Underwood Rd, Homebush
• Ismay Reserve – Ismay Avenue, Homebush

Work is scheduled to be carried out between Friday 27 January and Friday 3 February and will take approximately two hours per location, pending weather and site conditions.
