Council proposes to modify the existing refuge islands at the intersection of Homebush Road and Fairholm Street; Homebush Road and Highgate Street to a width of 3m. This initiative is in response to the recent safety issues created by vehicles performing illegal manoeuvres at Homebush Road in front of Strathfield Park.

Please refer to attachment for the proposed refuge islands. Proposal includes installation of rumble strips along the centre of Homebush Road between Highgate Street and Fairholm Street.
