Council at its meeting on 4 December 2018 resolved to prepare a Planning Proposal to amend Strathfield Local Environmental Plan 2012 to reclassify the land at No 1 Loftus Crescent, Homebush from “community” to “operational” land.
The reclassification will allow Council to review its options in relation to the future of the land.
A Gateway Determination has been issued by the NSW Department of Planning & Environment to publicly exhibit the Planning Proposal.
The Planning Proposal and associated documentation is on exhibition for public comment from Tuesday 7 May 2019 until Friday 7 June 2019

Public Hearing
Section 29 of the Local Government Act 1993 requires a public hearing to be held into land reclassifications when the classification of the land is changing from “community” to “operational”. Details with respect to the Public Hearing will be advertised in the Inner West Courier and on Council’s website a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the Public Hearing.
