Public Notice – Resident Parking Scheme – Wentworth Street Greenacre

Strathfield Council has approved the introduction of a Residential Parking Scheme (RPS) in Wentworth Street, Greenacre. This is in response to representations by residents stating the residential serenity of the street has been compromised by the workers engaged in the Northern vicinity of Wentworth Street. The RPS was also the subject of community consultation on 2 April 2019.

The RPS will see the installation of 4 hour restricted parking areas, 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday and 8am – 1pm Saturday.

Should you wish to apply for a parking permit, entitling you to park for longer than 4 hours in the restricted areas, please complete the enclosed form.

To be eligible for a parking permit under the RPS, you must be a current resident of the property at which you also have one or more vehicles registered. Proof of your residence and vehicle registration are required when applying for a parking permit.

The 4P parking signs will be installed in June and enforcement will begin after 6 September 2019.

Application forms can be lodged in person by visiting Council’s Customer Service Centre at 65 Homebush Road, Strathfield between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

If you are unable to lodge the application form in person, please return the form with copies of the requested documentation, to Council via email council@strathfield.nsw.gov.au or post to RPS application, PO Box 120 Strathfield NSW 2135. Postal applications must be sent by Friday 26 July in order to receive the parking permit prior to the enforcement date of Friday 6 September 2019.

If you are eligible, Council will send the parking permit in the mail.
