Strathfield Council has engaged drainage civil contractors to alleviate the localised water ponding along William Street, Strathfield South especially towards the Cul-de-sac as part of Council’s drainage capital works program on Monday 27 May 2019 – Tuesday 11 June 2019 (weather permitting) from 7am – 5pm (Monday through Friday); 8am – 1pm (Saturday).

These works involve raising the cul-de-sac to allow the overland run off with adequate fall to the existing drainage pits and associated works such as re-construction of kerb and gutter, re-construction of footpath. Also, this section of the road will be re-sheeted with mill and overlay with asphalt.

During the works, the affected areas will be barricaded and signposted accordingly and it is imperative that these arrangements are adhered to at all times. Strathfield Council appreciates your co-operation.
