Draft Investment Policy – Public Exhibition

Council resolved at its November meeting to place the draft Investment Policy on public exhibition.

The draft Investment Policy will be exhibited from Tuesday 17 November 2020 until 5pm Tuesday 15 December 2020.

All proposed changes including key changes and minor administrative changes can be viewed in the draft policy. The proposed key changes made to the draft policy are outlined below:-

  • diversifying current portfolio from just at call and Term Deposits (TDs) to include Floating Rate Notes (FRNs);
  • current investments limits replaced with TCorp’s specific current investment limit table as credit and maturity guidelines: and
  • adopting Bloomberg AusBond Bank Bill Index as the performance industry index.

The draft Investment policy can be viewed on Council’s website and at Council’s Customer Service Centre 65 Homebush Road, Strathfield.  Due to COVID measures individual hard copies of the draft policy will be provided on request at Customer Service Centre.

Members of the public are invited to make written submissions on the draft policy. Written submissions may be made until 5pm on Tuesday 15 December 2020 and should be addressed to the CEO at Strathfield Council, PO Box 120, Strathfield NSW 2135 or emailed to council@strathfield.nsw.gov.au. Please include the reference ‘PN201611’ in your written submission
