Adoption of Amendment to Part N Water Sensitive Urban Design of SCDCP 2005

Council, at its meeting on 7 February 2023, resolved to adopt the amendments to Part N – Water Sensitive Urban Design of the Strathfield Consolidated Development Control Plan 2005.

The amendment proposes to be inclusive of all types of development within the LGA.  It is intended to promote tree retention, retention of greenspace and the addition of recommended vegetation species planting list to promote vegetation as a strategy for WSUD.

The reason for the amendment is to minimise the loss of greenspace or mature trees through redevelopment within the LGA.

Pursuant to Part 2 – Division 2 – Section 14 of the EP&A Regulations 2021, Strathfield Council is required to publish a notice of its decision of the adoption of the amendments to the Development Control Plan on its website.  The amended sections to the Development Control Plan come into effect from the date of publication of this notice.  The Strathfield Consolidated Development Control Plan 2005, as amended may be viewed online at www.strathfield.nsw.gov.au
