Strathfield Council is working to improve the appearance of Henley Road. Included in the upgrade is new paving, planter beds, trees, bins and benches. Henley Road will be converted to one-way with ample 45 degree parking on the eastern side.

Works will commence March 2019.

The Traffic Committee will review, and are expected to approve, changes to traffic at their meeting on Tuesday 19 February 2019. After this, signs will be installed indicated a change in traffic conditions. At the same time, line markings will be  drawn to effect angle parking on Henley Rd, and safety barriers erected.

Civil construction is expected to begin after 11 March 2019 and estimated to last 16 weeks (weather permitting).
