Homebush Bay Drive and Australia Avenue intersection upgrade
The Australian and NSW Governments are investing $100 million to upgrade the intersection of Homebush Bay Drive, Australia Avenue and Underwood Road to ease congestion, increase safety and improve travel times and connectivity to Homebush and Sydney Olympic Park for all road users.

Community Consultation Has Now Closed
Community consultation was conducted in May 2022. A report which summarises community and stakeholder feedback, and Transport for NSW responses, will be published later this year on the project webpage.

Investigation Works Begin
Investigation work on Australia Avenue, Underwood Road and Homebush Bay Drive northbound on/off ramps from Monday 13 June 2022.
To inform project planning Transport for NSW will carry out investigation work on Australia Avenue, Underwood Road and Homebush Bay Drive northbound on and off ramps between Monday 13 June and Monday 22 August 2022.
Work includes updating existing topographical surveys, locating above and below ground utilities, and investigating stormwater drainage structures. Underground utility work will involve potholing in two locations within the existing roundabout.
