Bill Boyce Reserve is a neighbourhood park designed as an integral feature of the surrounding residential area, providing recreation opportunities and enhancement of local amenity and streetscape.  The objective of this park is provision of safe play areas especially for children under surveillance of adults.

History

This park is named in honour of Bill Boyce, long serving Alderman [1954-78] and Mayor of Strathfield [1969-70, 1973-76].  Bill Boyce Reserve was previously known as Pomeroy Reserve.   (Reference: Jones, C, Parks, Reserves & Memorials of Strathfield, 2004).
