Strathfield Movies in the Park is back for the 2012/13 season this weekend at Strathfield Park with a free screening of Disney Pixar hit Cars 2 on Saturday from 7.45pm.

Movies in the Park is a free outdoor cinema experience, screening movies in Strathfield Park under the stars. A long-time favourite with Strathfield locals who pack a picnic or some snacks, bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy the great entertainment with friends and family.

Cars 2 was the hit 2011 Disney Pixar sequel to Cars featuring the voices of Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy and Michael Caine. The film took home the Kids’ Choice Award for Favourite Animated Movie earlier this year.

The new season of Movies in the Park, proudly sponsored by Strathfield Plaza, will see 11 movies to check out, including a school holidays special and the inclusion of a movie with Strathfield’s annual Christmas Carols in December and an Australia Day special.
