November 25 – Strathfield Council awards $10,000 in Community Grants

Strathfield Council has awarded a total of $10,000 in grant funding to local community groups and not for profit organisations through the Community Grants Program.

The program provides funding of up to $1500 per group to assist with the implementation of one off projects that support the Strathfield community.

The objective of Council’s Community Grants Program is to encourage the development of services and activities which meet and enhance the needs identified for the Strathfield community. Applications for the program were considered in line with the 2025 Community Strategic Plan.

Projects that were selected to receive grants will provide a variety of key services to the Strathfield area, including education, health and disability services and community safety initiatives.

Mayor of Strathfield Councillor Daniel Bott said the program is an important way for Council to assist the community with local projects.

“The Community Grants program is a fantastic opportunity for Council to support the community with developing initiatives that are consistent with Council objectives, but are operated by members of the public who are passionate about serving the community,” said Cr Bott.

“I would like to thank all of the dedicated organisations who put in hours of hard work to serve the Strathfield Community. I hope that these grants make a positive contribution to their work, and assist them with providing vital community services.”

The grants were presented at a ceremony at Strathfield Council on Friday.
