Strathfield Council has awarded $10,000 of grant funding to local community groups and not for profit organisations through the Community Grants Program.
The program provides funding to assist with the implementation of one off projects that support the Strathfield community.
The objective of Council’s Community Grants Program is to encourage the development of services and activities which meet and enhance the needs identified for the Strathfield community. Applications for the program were considered in line with the 2025 Community Strategic Plan.
Projects that were selected to receive grants will provide a variety of key services to the Strathfield area, including education, health and disability services and community sport and recreation initiatives.
Mayor of Strathfield Councillor Gulian Vaccari said the program is an important way for Council to assist the community with local projects.
“The Community Grants program is a fantastic opportunity for Council to support community initiatives that are consistent with Council objectives, but are operated by dedicated members of the public who are passionate about serving the community,” said Cr Vaccari.
“I would like to thank all of the organisations who put in hours of hard work to serve the Strathfield Community. I hope that these grants make a positive contribution to their work, and assist them with providing vital community services.”
The grants were presented at a ceremony at Strathfield Council on Thursday.
