Strathfield Council is committed to celebrating and showcasing the artistic talents of artists from many different cultures and backgrounds and encouraging its local community to participate in artistic programs, from beginners to established artists.

Ironbark Gallery

Ironbark Gallery strives to present a dynamic and diverse exhibition program that showcases the arts in our region.  This exhibition space is available for both emerging and established local artists and groups to display their works in a dedicated gallery space, located in the foyer of Strathfield library.

Ironbark Gallery is managed by Strathfield Council and provides artists the opportunity to exhibit in a professionally supported gallery.  There is no fee to exhibit in Ironbark Gallery.  Strathfield Council supports this space and provides a Curator to oversee all aspects of the exhibition process.  Artists are also given the opportunity to sell their works and facilitate a workshop in conjunction with their exhibition.

An annual call out for artists will be made.  All applicants are evaluated by a selection committee and based on the written application and supporting material provided.

Preference will be given to artists living or working in the Strathfield local government area.  Applications from artists outside this area are welcome but should clearly demonstrate a connection to the Strathfield region.

Ironbark Gallery aims to host 2 exhibitions for the remainder of 2019.

Applications close:  Monday 5 August 2019

Applications will be assessed: Tuesday 6 August 2019

Successful applicants notified: After Thursday 8 August 2019
