May 1 – Strathfield 2025 Community Strategic Plan

1 May 2012

Strathfield Council has released the draft Strathfield 2025 Community Strategic Plan for further public comment.

The Community Strategic Plan presents the shared vision for Strathfield – both Council and the community – and sets clear goals and strategies to meet this vision.

Strathfield 2025 is the result of the broad community engagement process that was undertaken at the end of last year to ask the wider Strathfield community about the future of the area and the priorities til the year 2025.

After compiling and analysing the data from the surveys and community discussions the draft Strathfield 2025 Community Strategic Plan is now available for further community comment.

Mayor of Strathfield, Cr Paul Barron said the draft plan is the culmination of a great amount of work and presents a clear vision.

“Strathfield 2025 is a strategic document that presents a long term vision for the Strathfield LGA and focuses on delivering a sustainable future through identifying current and future aspirations and challenges for the whole community,” Cr Barron said.

“I would like to encourage everyone in the Strathfield community to once again take the opportunity to have a say, by reading the Community Strategic Plan and the goals that are set under the five key themes at www.strathfield2025.com.au.”

The Strathfield community is being called on to once again take the opportunity to have a say, by reading the Community Strategic Plan and the strategic goals and making a submission or completing the survey online at www.strathfield2025.com.au.

The draft Strathfield 2025 Community Strategic Plan is on public exhibition for 28 days until 25 May 2012 and can be viewed at:
