Strathfield Council, through programs under its Strathfield Business Network are helping to promote local businesses and economic growth.

The next Strathfield Business Network program is a 14 week Business Mentoring course designed to assist new business owners get their business on track with a business plan that works and advice and tips from industry experts. The course features expert guest presenters each week, covering a range of topics including sales and marketing, finance, management, websites and taxation.

Mayor of Strathfield, Tony Maroun knows that starting a business and having a successful business are two different things.

“Owning or starting a new business can be tough – business owners should seek all the support they can get. Strathfield Council is keen to offer this support to businesses in the area through the Strathfield Business Network and programs like Business Mentoring,” Cr Maroun said.

Business Mentoring is ideal for anyone planning a new business venture or who has just opened or purchased a business. The 14 week course runs every Wednesday from 16 March, 6-9pm at High Street Community Library for just $350 which includes a free copy of MYOB Business Basics software and additional mentoring sessions at the conclusion of the course.
