Strathfield Council is implementing a custom designed book locker system at the High Street Community Centre which will allow library members to borrow and return books 24/7.
Patrons can request items either online via the library catalogue or in person at Strathfield Library. Once the books are ready for collection, members will be notified via text or email and can access the locker using their library card.
The system also includes return facilities, so when you are ready you can return your items to the lockers or to Strathfield Library directly.
Book orders will be delivered to the lockers Monday-Friday and staff will be available during business hours to offer assistance.
This innovative system will be introduced in early August 2019. Council is looking forward to the increased accessibility and convenience this project will have for community members.
